ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Officials are encouraged by the progress of the Resora Plantation since its June opening.
The Resora Plantation was home to Leadership Albany's 30th anniversary event Thursday night. Managers say since it opened they have hosted all sorts of dinners, parties and meetings. Hospitality and Events Director Danielle Blackwell reminds those interested that the location serves more than one purpose.
"This is an agra business," Blackwell said. "We have a full-fledged farm, so you know, that's not natural to the state of Georgia. We are really proud of that. We'll be harvesting 5,000 pecan trees soon over the next couple of years."
The Plantation is booked every month for a wedding from now until next July.
