AFD responds to fire behind their station

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Units of the Albany Fire Department are responding to a house on Cone Street, which just happens to be behind their station.

Albany Firefighters are still on the scene of a fire that broke out in a house on Cone Street late this afternoon.

The fire call came in at 4:00 about 206 Cone St. which is a vacant house.

No one was in the house when the fire happened, and the blaze, which started started in the back of the house, is under investigation because it is definitely suspicious.

No electricity was running to the house, so they have no idea how it would have started.
