AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - 5-year-old Jasper Poole is recovering well after he was mauled by a pit bull. Last week, he got a special surprise from Under Armour.

Five-Year-Old Jasper Poole is a tough kid and when he wears his favorite Under Armour clothing he turns into a Superhero.

"I'm Batman," said Jasper Poole.

While Jasper was in the hospital his mom, Lezlie Poole, emailed Under Armour about Jasper's recovery. A red Under Armour shirt was the only piece of clothing that wasn't destroyed when Jasper was mauled by a pit bull in March.

"He picked this shirt out a few months earlier in our local store saying it was the stuff that all Superheroes wore, and had to have it," said Lezlie Poole.

Under Armour replied last week sending Jasper Under Armour T-shirts, shorts and a backpack along with a letter.

"She mentioned that you're a big fan of Superheroes and we just wanted to let you know that you are our Superhero," said Nigel Poole.

Jasper's recovery and the gifts he's received from Under Armour have gone viral on sites like Reddit and the Huffington Post.

"Jasper is becoming quite famous," said Nigel Poole.

Jasper says the clothing makes him feel safe and gives him "super powers."

"Bat ropes," said Jasper Poole.

Poole says the gifts show how much the company cares for their customers.

"They care. Big companies care. There's people behind that Under Armour logo. There's people behind other places too," said Nigel Poole.

A bandage still remains on Jasper's left leg where he was attacked. He goes to physical therapy three times a week and his parents say he's in good spirits during his recovery. The five-year-old Superhero has this to say to Under Armour.

"Thank you Under Armour," said Jasper Poole.
