Car fire near downtown

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Fire officials are investigating after a  2007 Chrysler caught fire Sunday afternoon. They say the fire started  in the trunk.

The Albany Police Department also responded. The car fire happened on the corner of North Madison and West second Ave.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Fire fighters say it took about 300 gallons of water to put the fire out.
