TIFTON, GA (WALB) - Some South Georgia men will walk in heels to stop family violence. Ruth's Cottage and The Patticake House in Tifton are hosting a "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event.
Men will walk a mile around the Harley-Davidson store in Tifton.
The event is a playful opportunity for men to wear high heels and raise awareness of domestic violence.
"Just to kind of raise awareness to the situation and so kind of making a funny, putting men in women's shoes walking a mile, basically trying to look at it from her perspective.," said Brandon Keeter.
The walk was at 6 p.m. starting at the Harley Davidson.
