ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A proposed pipeline that could run through part of Dougherty county would be one of the safest lines in North America, according to an energy officials looking to build.
A spokesman from Spectra Energy Corp gave Dougherty County Commissioners and residents more details about the project Monday morning.
Several homeowners concerned about the impact of an energy pipeline attended the meeting after the proposal was announced in late July.
The spokesman said the company operates roughly 19,000 miles of pipeline in the nation, and transports approximately 15% of the nation's energy needs.
