A message for WALB subscribers
At WALB, nothing is more important to us than providing Albany and south Georgia with the very best in local news and weather, along with your favorite NBC and ABC programming.
In order to serve our viewers, WALB has in place agreements with the cable and satellite companies that bring our stations to your home. In fact, WALB has such agreements in place with every TV provider in our area.
Unfortunately, we have been unable to reach an Agreement with Mediacom.
For several months, we have been working to resolve this matter, but so far have been unable to reach an Agreement with Mediacom for the continued carriage of WALB NBC and WALB ABC. This is particularly disappointing because all the other TV providers in our area have Agreements with us and those Agreements are fundamentally similar to the one we have been negotiating with Mediacom.
As a result, on June 30th, Mediacom customers could lose access to WALB NBC and ABC.
We understand how frustrating this is for you. We share your frustration. After all, you pay Mediacom 100% of your bill each month. Why shouldn't you get 100% of your channels? You can reach your local Mediacom Service Rep at 1-866-637-2225 or 1-800-239-8411 to voice your concern.
WALB is committed to resolving this matter. But in the meantime, you should know that you have choices. Our station will remain available on other providers and we are always available free over-the-air.

You can switch to DISH Network at 1-800-617-4883.
You can switch to AT&T U-verse at 1-855-992-8292.
And you can always get your local broadcast channel free over the air.
