THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - The Georgia State patrol is investigating a two-truck wreck on the outskirts of Thomasville that killed one person.

The collision happened on Cairo Road, near Pinetree Road in Thomas County.

59-year-old James Williams died on impact when his 1984 Chevy pick-up collided head on with 38-year old Jeffrey Cox's 2013 Ford F-150.

The crash is still under investigation, but the Georgia State Patrol believes Cox traveled across the center line on Cairo Road and struck Williams at West Pinetree Boulevard.

52-year-old Robert Sparrow and four-year-old Kheazen Heaven were in the car with Williams and remain hospitalized in serious condition.

Cox and Sparrow are being treated at Archbold Memorial, but Heaven was transported to Macon.

Police say all three are in serious condition, but have not released more details on their injuries.

No charges have been filed.
