Former teacher arrested on drug charges

A former middle school teacher in Dougherty County is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Thirty-year old Dontreal Williams was arrested by Albany Dougherty drug agents last night.

Williams was sentenced just two weeks ago on a previous drug conviction.

"We recognized the name from a previous arrest for the same thing. Then brought him back here and ended up transporting him to the Dougherty County Jail. Charged him with possession of marijuana with which is with the intent to distribute," said ADDU Chief Bill Berry.

Williams was arrested during a traffic stop in Camilla in November and charged with possesion of marijuana with intent to distribute.

On April 12th, he was sentenced to 21 years probation.

At the time of his arrest last year, he was a  7th grade science teacher at Dougherty Middle.
