Phoebe Digestive Health Center open for patients

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A brand new addition to the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital facility opened it's doors Sunday afternoon.
Physicians cut the ribbon for the grand opening of the Digestive Health Care Center located in the Meredyth Plaza in Albany.
The new building not only provides much needed space and new cutting-edge technology, but will add nearly 30 new jobs to the area.
Patients and physicians say the center will be a home for all people with digestive problems including colon cancer.
"All the procedures that we typically do in the hospital environment, we're also going to provide here in a more convenient, comfortable location so people have less anxiety about where am I going to park, do I have to go to the hospital and register, it's all in one convenient location," says Dr. Matthew Grundfast, Director of Phoebe Gastroenterology Department.
The 85,000 square foot facility opened on October 1st and has already begun providing full services to their patients.
