Dozens of college students from across the Northeast are spending their spring break this week in Albany volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.
Almost 60-students from Boston College, Vassar College, Penn State, and Truman State are helping build four habitat homes in south Albany.
These Boston College students are part of the Appalachia Volunteers program.
They spent today framing up walls on a home for a military veteran, rather than at the beach.
Boston College Senior Lauren Malishchak said "We're here to learn about service and what it means to serve other people. We're here to learn about the Habitat mission. And try to get some work done for this great organization."
Habitat leaders say dozens more college students are expected in Albany over the next three weeks.
