If you live in Terrell County, owning a pit bull might cost you a lot more.

County Commissioners approved a dangerous dog ordinance Wednesday morning that mirrors one approved by the City of Dawson.

The City Council voted to make it illegal for pit bulls to be chained in the backyard.

Dog owners must now have a built -in fence. Any dogs being walked will have to be muzzled at all times.

The new ordinance requires all dog owners to have dog bite insurance at $100,000.

These changes come after two pit bulls attacked and killed more than 30 sheep in Terrell County.
