Florida officer arrested in Decatur County

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  A Florida police officer arrested over the weekend in Bainbridge is facing charges of sexual assault and incest

50-year-old Robert Sizemore, who worked as an officer with the Chattahoochee Police Department in Florida, was arrested Saturday at the Jameson Inn after investigators received information he had sexually assaulted a juvenile girl who is a relative at his Decatur County home.

The Decatur County Sheriff's Special Response Team was called out to the motel after Sizemore threatened suicide. He was taken into custody without incident.

Sizemore is undergoing medical evaluation at this time but is expected to booked in jail Wednesday.

He is charged with incest, rape, aggravted sexual battery, child moelstation, and enticing a child for indecent purposes.
