Multimedia Journalist

Albany, Ga.

Mike joined WALB in September 2020 as a multimedia journalist covering news and also filling in on sports. Mike was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and raised in Plymouth, Michigan outside of Detroit. In May 2020, he graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast & digital journalism. Mike’s love for broadcasting began during his freshman year of high school when he joined the staff of a student-run radio station. There, Mike got to report local news as well as do play-by-play for high school sports. In college, he made the transition to TV and continued working as a news reporter and sports anchor. Mike is looking forward to exploring Albany and southwest Georgia since he has never lived this far South before. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, especially his hometown teams from Detroit, watching movies, reading books, and traveling.
