Meteorologist/Multimedia Journalist

Matthew joined the WALB News 10 team in March 2020, and is a First Alert Meteorologist and Multimedia Journalist.

Matthew is no stranger to South Georgia, born and raised in Omega, in Tift County.

Matthew earned his Certificate in Broadcast and Operational Meteorology from Mississippi State University in December 2019.

He is also pursuing a Bachelor's in Geosciences from MSU and will finish in the Fall.

He was also a 2014 honor graduate of Tift County High School.

Matthew interned with WALB News 10 in the summer of 2017 working behind the scenes and learning all the skills of a successful news and weather broadcast.

Matthew was interviewed by the late 10-Country reporter Joe Courson in December 2007 in a story titled "Matthew's Clear Ambition."

Matthew practiced drawing weather maps and giving the forecast at a very young age with his family.

Matthew loves to spend time outdoors, meet new people, and take on new tasks.

Matthew covers Lee County, Worth County, Terrell County, Calhoun County, Early County, and agriculture-related stories.
