Cairo Police searching for possibly injured man who went to police station after hours

CAIRO, Ga. (WALB) — The Cairo Police Department (CPD) is asking for the public’s help in finding the man who tried to find help at the police department after hours.

CPD posted on Facebook that an unidentified man went to the police department at about 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, seeking assistance. He appeared to be injured, police say.

Police say he was last seen walking on 3rd Avenue NW toward 1st Street NW. CPD describes him as:

  • Hispanic male
  • Slender build
  • Short, dark hair
  • Wearing a light-colored T-shirt and pants

Anyone who recognizes him or knows where he went is asked to call Investigator Tyron Griffin at (229) 387-3096 or call 911. Information can also be given anonymously through crimetips@cairopd.com.
