Hope for Coffee to repair storm-damaged roofs throughout June
COFFEE COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – Hope for Coffee is offering roof repairs now and throughout the entire month of June.
The organization aims to repair at least 10 roofs on homes damaged by Hurricane Helene.
Thanks to newly renovated buildings, Hope for Coffee can now accommodate more volunteers, which is why they believe they can exceed that goal.
Many residents are still displaced from their homes, and this initiative is another step toward addressing the post-storm housing crisis.
Those in need of assistance can contact Hope for Coffee through Facebook, which is the primary social media platform the organization uses for communication.
The nonprofit focuses on serving the “underserved” community—described as single parents, low-income families, and individuals without insurance.
Hope for Coffee operates entirely through donations and volunteer support. Last year, they completed 40 roof repairs. This year, their goal is to complete 50 to 60.
