(CNN) – Monica Lewinsky is looking back on events that profoundly changed her life.

Her involvement with former President Bill Clinton first put her in the media spotlight over 25 years ago.

Lewinsky was 22 years old when news broke that Clinton had an affair with her when she was a White House intern.

In a recent episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Lewinsky said that Clinton should have resigned from office at the time or found a way to not lie or throw her “under the bus.”

Lewinsky has spoken in recent years about the power imbalance between her and Clinton.

She’s been candid about misogyny in the media that she has said unfairly covered her as a young woman.

In the 2020 documentary “Hillary,” the former president said he felt terrible about how the affair impacted Lewinsky’s life.
