Crews battle multiple house fires in Valdosta

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - The Valdosta Fire Department responded to two house fires within three miles of each other early Friday morning.

According to the department’s Facebook page, the first fire broke out at a home on 810 York Street around 2:52 a.m.

Upon the first fire units’ arrival, they found a residence fully involved.

The house had no residents inside at the time and the fire crew were able to bring the fire under control quickly, according to VFD.

No injuries were reported.

The second fire engulfed a home on 2926 Dogwood Circle around 4:17 a.m.

Upon the fire crew’s arrival, they found the residency fully on fire.

VFD said it took the fire crew 20 minutes to bring the fire under control.

The house was vacant at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
