Severe threat low Thursday

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Overcast with only a few peaks of sunshine Wednesday. With a brisk southerly wind it was a tad humid with warm upper 70s mid 80s. Clouds thicken while dry conditions hold through the evening. Early Thursday as a cold front near SGA a line of storms weaken however rain and thunderstorms become likely through the afternoon. There’s a low end Marginal Risk for isolated severe storms with damaging winds the primary threat.

Overnight the front pushes south ushering in drier air for a pleasant Good Friday.

Wetter weather returns for the holiday weekend. A series of fronts bring scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Saturday and Easter Sunday. Have a back-up for your outdoor activities as some may get wet.

Rain continues into Monday until a strong cold front slides through clearing us out. Sunshine and cooler temperatures return Tuesday with lows mid 50s highs mid 70s.
