DAMASCUS, Ga. (WALB) - Inside the GISA, the Southwest Georgia Academy Lady Warriors are making a return trip to the final four.

A stage they aren’t strangers to, but are hoping this time around they’ll be able to punch their ticket to the title game.

Standing in their way is a solid Brentwood team, who haven’t lost since November. Coach Amy Tucker is confident their defense will be able to slow down the Eagles.

The Warriors are a team stacked with experience ready to prove they’re the team to beat.

”I’m very confident,” said Tucker. “I think they’re hungry for it. They’ve been upset that people doubt them so much. So now, I think they’re hungry to get that title. Attitude has been wonderful, comradery has been great. I just couldn’t ask for a better group of girls. They’ve been working so hard all week long.”

Abby Bruner, a junior point guard on what it’ll take to get past the semi-finals, “We’ve been working really hard and running a lot and just trying to get ready and getting ours shots down and trying to perfect ourselves. I just hope we’re playing how we should be playing and go out there and win.”

The Warriors and Brentwood tip-off Friday from GSW at 2:00 pm.
