Gasoline Alley red carpet movie premiere set for Friday in Tifton
TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) -An action-thriller is set to hit the big screens this weekend at the historic Tift theater.
Gasoline Alley, starring Bruce Willis, Luke Wilson, and Devon Sawa, is said to be one of the best films yet.
Gasoline Alley was filmed in the heart of downtown Tifton, locals will be able to point out local landmarks during the movie.
Actor and producer Alexander Kane, says choosing to film the movie in the friendly city was intentional. They chose this setting because of the many resources Tifton has to offer and of course, the friendliness of the locals.
“That’s gone be the best part of it is there’s going to be so many local landmarks the movie is actually set in Los Angelos you will not be able to tell this movie is not in LA,” he says.
WALB News 10′s Alicia Lewis was able to meet and talk with some of the actors in the movie. Billy Jack Harlow, an actor and Georgia native, shared his experience being on set with Bruce Willis.
“I got my biggest role with the most scenes and most lines, and it was so exciting, so absolutely exciting to work with Ed Drake, Bruce I got to hang out with Bruce and his crew on every one of the movies that he’s done here. It is absolutely movie magic,” he says.
Kane says this movie premiere will be the first of many, and really suggest that people embrace this and enjoy the premiere. This movie premiere it is going to be an event that will be done regularly.
“This is the beginning not the culmination of a project but the beginning of a long film relationship with Tifton,” Kane added.
On Friday, the red-carpet event will begin at 6 p.m. at the downtown Tift Theater. Following the event, the movie will be shown at 7 pm Tickets are limited and are $7.
