ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Eggs Up Grill cracked its 500,000th egg on Friday.
It was a milestone event celebrated after a difficult year.
For many eateries in this area, the pandemic limited how many people could be served.
Owner Michael McNeal said they have many customers.
The free meal and milestone egg went to one customer that visits often.
”He ordered an omelet, and it contained the 500,000th egg. We made a big announcement to the store and so all eyes were following that plate and seeing where it was going,” McNeal said.
McNeal said their location has been open since 2016, and his staff has overcome a lot of obstacles, like Hurricane Michael and the 2017 storms.
He also said he is ecstatic to be part of the Albany community.
