Political signs stolen from Albany veteran’s front lawn

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - An Albany man didn’t let thieves get him down after he said his political signs were stolen from his front lawn.

Isiah Thrower is a Navy veteran who lives in the area of Old Dawson Road. He said last week, on Sunday, he went to get the mail when he noticed his democratic signs were missing.

He told Albany police he had two Jon Ossoff and two Raphael Warnock signs. Thrower said said all four were missing.

”I think people have gotten to the point where they are not using logic and reasoning and I think they are overstepping, letting the anger control their emotions and their actions,” said Thrower.

Thrower said the Republican signs in the neighborhood were up and not affected.

He said he’s frightened because he believes someone went on his private property.

Thrower said he plans on putting up cameras.

According to the Albany Police Department incident report, no video evidence is available.

Since this incident, Thrower put up new signs.

If you have any information about what happened, you’re asked to call the Albany police.
