ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A gloomy New Year’s Eve with scattered showers on and off across SGA. Areas of light rain continue through the evening and overnight as lows drop into the mid 60s.
We’ll kick off the new year on a wet note and potentially a stormy one. Isolated strong to severe storms are possible with damaging winds and a few tornadoes. Also rather breezy with gust to 30 mph.
As a cold front stalls across SGA, rainy weather continues Saturday. Also, strong-severe storms are possible again. There’ll be periods of heavy rain with totals amounts of 2-4″ expected over the three day period. Drier and cooler Sunday into the middle of next week. Near average temperatures return with highs in the upper 50s low 60s and lows mid-upper 30s. Rain chances return next Thursday.
