OCILLA, Ga. (WALB) - In Single-A Public the Irwin County Indians are in pursuit of back-to-back state titles.

And for the first time this postseason, the Indians will be away from home on Friday night.

Head Coach Casey Soliday and company will be in Commerce, taking on the Tigers for just the third time.

The Indians are unbeaten in this series and they need to keep it that way to reach Atlanta.

Despite the highs and lows of 2020, the Indians are right where they want to be, and that alone is a sweet feeling.

”I’d rather be playing than not playing. I don’t really care where we got to go to, uh there’s a lot that are not playing right now there’s also people who have had their season messed up because of Covid, so for us just to be playing football right now these kids, to be out there doing that stuff, shoot that’s big. Their offense is a tough offense to stop, we just don’t see that offense but our defense has played pretty solid all year but we’re going to have to help out this week and score some points,” said Soliday.

The Indians looking to make a statement Friday night, Kickoff in Commerce is set for 7:30 p.m...
