VALDOSTA, Ga. (WALB) - On Monday, deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office and the Interstate Criminal Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop on I-75, which led to two arrests.
A traffic stop was conducted on a 2020 GMC Yukon for a traffic infraction. While deputies were writing the ticket, they became suspicious of criminal activity, and a search of the vehicle was conducted, the sheriff’s office said.
Various THC products, along with fraudulent credit/debit cards were found hidden inside the headliner of the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
Also, during the probable cause search, a large amount of currency was found, and the sheriff’s office said it’s believed to have come from criminal activity.
The driver, Medard Ulysse, and his passenger, Brianna Binkley were arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail where they will face multiple felony charges.
