LEESBURG, Ga. (WALB) - The autistic missing man has been found, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said William “Ben” Whitus, 43, was last seen in the Highway 32 and Lovers Lane area around 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
Whitus is diagnosed with autism. Police said Whitus is not able to drive and has a low level of ability to communicate.
He is now safe.
