ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A spooky, and socially distanced, time was had by all at Chehaw Park and Zoo on Saturday.

Kids and adults showed up in costume to walk around the zoo, meet the animals, and of course, get some Halloween candy.

Jackie Entz, director of Education for the Artesian Alliance, said special precautions were made to ensure families had a safe way to have holiday fun.

“Because we have an outdoor venue and a large venue so our guests could stay safely apart from each other. You’ll notice that all of our vendors and people giving out candy are wearing masks and wearing gloves and we are handing candy out to children so that way lots of hands aren’t in our candy bins," Entz said.

Families can check out Chehaw’s next holiday event, Animal Thanksgiving, on November 21.
