Sumter Co. law enforcement looking for escaped inmate

AMERICUS, Ga. (WALB) - Sumter County deputies are on the hunt for an inmate that escaped from jail.
Deputies posted to Facebook that Charlie Lester escaped from the Sumter County Jail around 2 p.m. Sunday.
Lester was last spotted near Sumter County Medical Center, according to law enforcement.
Investigators said if you see Lester, do not approach him and call 911 or the anonymous tip line at (229) 815-6721.
