ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - One in eight women will develop breast cancer during her lifetime.
Early detection is key.
WALB has partnered with Albany Motorcars to challenge our community to raise enough money to provide 100 local mammograms to women that are in need.
Remember, all donations stay local and provide cancer screenings for those right here in South Georgia through Horizon’s Community Solutions.
In honor of breast cancer awareness month, Horizons Community Solutions, Pretoria Fields Collective and WALB are partnering together.
Pretoria will be serving “pink beer” in honor of breast cancer awareness and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Horizons Community Solutions.
There will also be an event called “Tap Into A Good Cause.” It will be Oct. 29, at 6 p.m., at Pretoria. A food truck and pink beer will be available and there will be live music by Relapse. Proceeds will benefit Horizons Community Solutions.
