GBI investigating death of Tifton 9-year-old

TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death of a 9-year-old girl.

It happened at the Peterson Apartments, off of Timmons Avenue.

The victim’s identity and the cause of death has not been released at this time.

A number of cars lined the scene, and traffic was even blocked at one point, according to a WALB reporter at the scene.
