CORDELE, Ga. (WALB) - The Crisp County Fire Rescue and EMS responded to the Crisp County Detention Center Sunday around 1 p.m.

Fire officials said a fire alarm was activated.

Some cells were evacuated after detention officers found heavy smoke coming from a cell, according to fire rescue.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the smoke is still under investigation.
