Grady sheriff wins runoff; to face Democratic challenger in November election

CAIRO, Ga. (WALB) - Grady County Sheriff Harry Young won Tuesday’s runoff election for the Republican nomination.

Young went up against Steve Clark, a former sheriff’s office employee, for the nomination.

Young got 1,516 votes and Clark garnered 1,377.

In November, Young will face Democrat Donald “Dickie” Thomas for the sheriff’s seat.
