Phoebe nurse discharged from COVID-19 unit

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Phoebe Health Center discharged one of their own nurses earlier this week.

Adrienne McAfee left the hospital after a five-week stay.

She is a registered nurse at Phoebe’s main hospital.

She spent two weeks in a COVID-19 unit and three weeks in the inpatient rehab unit.

After her time in rehab, Phoebe deemed McAfee "well enough to be discharged."

McAfee is just one of 400 COVID-19 patients to leave Phoebe hospitals.

Patient Discharge - Adrienne McAfee

This is an extra special #NursesWeek for Adrienne McAfee, an RN at our main hospital. After two weeks as a patient in one of our #COVID_19 units, and another three weeks in our inpatient rehab unit, she was well enough to be discharged. We have now celebrated the release of around 400 COVID-19 patients as they have left our hospitals.
