ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The Albany Police Department (APD) is investigating a shooting that happened on Meadow Drive near Turner Field Road, which happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
Jaylin Stanford, 16, was fatally wounded, according to police.
Three other people were also injured.
Police responded to Turner Field and Meadow Drive to a report of a shooting.
When police arrived, they found a white Honda Accord that was shot at multiple times.
Stanford was found in the vehicle, dead from a gunshot wound. The other three people injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The incident has been assigned to the Robbery/Homicide and Gang Unit of APD.
