UPDATE: Albany murder suspect appears in jail court

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A woman died Thursday after an Albany shooting that happened in the 1200 block of Kingstown Court.
Her boyfriend, Marcus Carter, 22, has been arrested and charged with murder.
Carter appeared at the Dougherty County Jail court Friday, but his bond request must be made to a superior court judge. The date for the superior court hearing has not yet been set.

Nykeah Gilbert, 22, was shot in the upper body, according to police.
The call came in just after 1 p.m.
