ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The driver of a semi-truck hauling Anheuser Busch beer that crashed Thursday afternoon on Highway 82 is expected to be released from the hospital according to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital officials.
A semi-truck, owned by Skyline Transport out of Indiana, overturned on Highway 82 near the former Cooper Tire plant around 5:45 p.m.
Dougherty County police said the driver, Jeffrey Williams, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Oncoming traffic was redirected at the time but the scene has been cleared and traffic is flowing.
Police said the truck crash was caused by Williams driving too fast for the curve there.
Williams was cited for too fast for conditions, Dougherty County police reported.
