Tifton, Ga. (WALB) - As the summer comes to an end, Tift County Schools is looking forward to welcoming and meeting new faces, returning students and their parents at its annual open house.
Pre-K to fifth grade will now be in the same building.
This is a great time for parents to meet the teachers and start building relationships.
Joanna Hand, the Tift County K though five curriculum director, said she believes teachers and parents can be a team to educate boys and girls in Tifton.
“Parents, please bring your boys and girls to open house. This is a great time for you to meet the teacher and for that teacher to start building that relationship with you so that we can be a team to educate these boys and girls here in Tifton,” said Hand.
The open house for elementary and middle school will both be held on Aug. 1 but at different times.
Pre-k to fifth grade will meet from 3 to 5 p.m. and middle school students will meet from 4 to 6 p.m.
