TIFTON, Ga. (WALB) - Jerome James Jackson was convicted May 2, 2019, for the November 2016 stabbing and death of Odell Chaney, 53.
On Thursday, he heard his sentences in the Tift County Jail courtroom:
- On Count 1 of malice murder, he got 20 years.
- On Count 2 of felony murder was vacated, per “Edge v State."
- On Count 3 of aggravated assault brought 20 years, consecutive to count 1.
- On Count 4 of home invasion in the first degree, he got life without parole.
