ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Octavia Thomas has been eating at the House of You in Albany for nearly a decade.
She is not only shocked, but disappointed, that robberies like the one that happened Tuesday night continue to happen in Albany.
“It is very distasteful that something like this has happened yet again in Albany," said Thomas.

Some loyal customers are disgusted at Tuesday night’s armed robbery at the House of You Chinese buffet.
The brutal attack on one, shocked Thomas-- who eats there often.
“I’m very surprised to know that, that happened these are really nice people and their really personable and homey, and I’m just very surprised,” said Thomas.
Albany police say they were called out just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to the restaurant on the 1500 block of North Slappey Boulevard.

When they got there, officers said they found someone had been hit in the mouth with a gun, and an empty register cleaned out by the robber, who forced the employees to give up cash from their wallets too.
“This is a very safe neighborhood, Albany has really improved over the years with our crime rate and I’m very surprised that something like this would happen here at this restaurant,” said Thomas.
Thomas has been a House of You customer for the past eight years and will continue.
But, she said she will now take extra steps to make sure she and her family are safe in the future.
“I will continue my business here, but I will make sure I’m very cognizant about eating out, and making sure I do not eat out late at night,” she said.
