DAWSON, Ga. (WALB) - In an effort to stay on top of natural gas problems in one Southwest Georgia City, leaders say they need to know who is certified to work on their system.
This Friday, Dawson leaders are hosting a meeting for those who respond to gas problems in the city.
Dawson Interim City Manager James Woods says the meeting will help build relationships and create a faster response system to help solve gas problems in the city.
“These meetings are to help make sure that we know who all those individuals are and that we have the ability to rapidly respond in the case of an emergency,” said Woods.
They hope to create a list that will become a general outreach system to include contractors and city leaders.
The meeting is not open to the public.
