Crisp County Sheriff Billy Hancock said receiving this gift means a lot to the department.

“To find a group of that age that take on a project that means so much to law enforcement, to family and to the agency, is really unique in today’s time," said Sheriff Hancock.

This gift is part of the troop's Stars for Heroes program.

The girls recently sent out around 500 stars as part of the program.

According to the sheriffs office, Roscoe died last week from natural causes.
