THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - There’s only four teams left in the GHSA boys soccer state championship, and all are hoping for their shot at glory.
This is also the third consecutive final four playoff berth for Thomasville High School.
Head Coach Keith Gwaltney said their endurance and tempo has been key to their success.
He said they feel prepared knowing they’ve faced teams like Putnam throughout the season.
“They play a very similar style to some of the other teams we’ve played against this year. They have one guy that’s kind of a stud. I’m not going to say we are 100 percent kean on him. But, we know that he is very very dangerous, and if we can somehow neutralize him or minimize his chances then that’s going to give us a better opportunity," said Gwaltney.
The Bulldogs haven’t been to the finals since 2010, which is the same year they won state, now they have just one team in the way.
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m..
