THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - We’re nearly midway through May which also means we’re at the halfway mark for spring football practice.
The Thomas County Central high school football team is wrapping up their last week of spring practice.
Head Coach Ashley Henderson said he didn’t lose many seniors, so this team is hitting the ground running.
“We’ve got a lot of young talent. We want to get better every week, and hopefully we can do that. We don’t have that many seniors but we got some guys that we will be counting on as seniors. Our guys are young, so we got to continue to grow and continue that process of what it takes to be a championship program," said Henderson.
Henderson told us despite it being a younger team his players are coming in with plenty of experience to be a top team in their region.
He said they’re mimicking game week preparations during practice... to prepare for their upcomig scrimmage.
