ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Members of the Westover High class of 2019 students visited their former elementary school on Monday.

About 10 seniors walked through Lake Park Elementary School, where their educational journey began.

The current elementary students decorated signs, cheered and high-fived the almost-graduates.

One high schooler said he felt old returning for his victory lap, but it was bittersweet.

“Definitely seeing teachers that I haven’t seen in a long time. And reminiscing on that. I haven’t seen them in like 10 years,” said Coleman Sizemore, a Westover High senior.

A teacher also read the Doctor Seuss classic Oh the Places You’ll Go to the seniors.

Sizemore hopes to be an inspiration for the next generation.
