LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Around 300 people from different Albany-area organizations met Friday to learn how to become a better leader.

The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce along with Leadership Albany and the Church at the Groves organized the event.

Mary Beth Hobby from Leadership Albany said tickets sold out quickly. She said that shows this community is eager to make local organizations stronger.

“Healthy teams is something that creates success in each organization. And you have to have that team behind you to create that successful opportunity for your organizations. So, we’ve just been incredibly excited about this and it’s turned out to be a great event," said Hobby.

People who attended listened to several speakers from a wide range of career fields.

They discussed what it takes to create a great team environment in their jobs.
