DAWSON, GA (WALB) - Leaders in Dawson said they’re getting close to having all the Hurricane Michael debris picked up.
The deadline hasn’t been set, but the interim city manager James Woods said it’s coming soon.
Woods wants residents to be proactive in getting the debris cleared.
If you have root balls by the street, the city of Dawson asks that you call city hall and report them for pick up.
“If it hadn’t been moved from the backyard to the front yard streets, then we will begin active code enforcement. So, you will be given so many days to get it hauled off at that point, not brought out to the front yard, it’ll be hauled off, you’ll wind up with a summons to court,” said Woods.
Woods said we are still a few months out from the deadline.
You can call (229) 995-4444 to report root balls.
