ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany State Rams finished their season at the conference finals this weekend.

It wasn’t the ending the Rams were hoping for, but ASU still made an impact this season.

The Rams still claimed their fifth regular season title.

Although they weren’t able to clinch the tournament title, the Rams still proved, their a team to watch for.

Clinching a 21-1 conference record during the season, Scot Hemmings knows they played well, but at the end of they day, they were just out played.

“They came up, I’d say nine hits at the semi-final game and 10 or 11 hits today," said Hemmings. "And their 3-4-5 drove in runs and got some timely hits and we didn’t. You saw how many guys we left on base. But at the end of the day, we’re 32-20 and our fifth straight regular season title and I couldn’t be any prouder of where this program is after three years.”

The Rams will hope to continue to grow and will hopefully be back in the conference finals next year.
