VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - On Monday, Lowndes County Sheriffs Office drug agents staged a raid on a house and found illegal drugs.
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Special Operations Division executed a search warrant at a home off Crum Road in Valdosta.
They found 83 grams, just under three ounces, of methamphetamine, valued at over $8,000, and some guns, according to Sheriff Ashley Paulk.
The people who lived there were known to sell meth from the home, the sheriff’s office said, and authorities were watching what went on, and acted to stop it.
Jarvis Hawkins, Angela Pounds, and Janna Horton were taken into custody.
Information obtained during the investigation of the home has been shared with other law enforcement partners to target the source of the methamphetamine, Paulk said.
“We credit the citizens involved in providing crime tips, which lead to these types of interventions in their neighborhoods,” Paulk said.
WALB is working to learn more information on the arrest.
